In July 2015, Sergeant Gary Cross was accused of sexually harassing and assaulting Deputy Massey. Cross allegedly searched Massey’s phone without permission, found a partially nude photo, and subsequently requested more explicit images. He later physically assaulted Massey by grabbing her, pulling her tightly against his body, and attempting to kiss her. Massey resisted and reported the incident.
