Sergeant Platt, along with other officers, conducted a custodial interview of a suspect where he made statements indicating a bias, such as comparing the suspect to ‘Jeffrey Dahmer’ and expressing disappointment that an interviewee was not a victim, which would have been ‘one more nail in [the suspect’s] coffin.’ These statements raised concerns about the objectivity and professionalism of the investigation.
