Create And Track Police Department History

In 2011, Sgt. Fruth engaged in a public altercation with his spouse while on duty and intentionally wrecked his police cruiser. He was indicted for reckless driving and felony destruction of property. An internal investigation recommended his termination, and the Mason County Civil Service Commission found just cause for his discharge. The West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals upheld this decision in 2017.
