Sgt. Len Gasser approved and cleared hundreds of Chief Rasmussen’s incomplete reports, some involving serious incidents like child abuse and sexual assault. He altered event information, deleted involved persons, and reclassified cases as ‘miscellaneous’ before approving the blank reports. This resulted in numerous crimes going undocumented and uninvestigated. Gasser served as interim chief following Rasmussen’s retirement.
