On February 21, 2010, Sgt. Matthew Higley and another officer entered the apartment of Plaintiff Schultz without a warrant, after Schultz refused to allow them entry to check on his wife. The officers physically restrained Schultz and forced him to sit in a chair inside his apartment. This led to a lawsuit alleging violation of constitutional rights.
