Powell shredded original meeting notes concerning the Field Training Officer (FTO) position, including a listing of the FTO Review Board members, in violation of Tuscaloosa Police Department policy. This action occurred shortly after Officer Hicks filed an EEOC charge, raising concerns about potential retaliation and procedural misconduct within the department.
