In June 2019, Deputy Shaderick Jones was arrested for coercing a woman into performing oral sex on her one-year-old son, recording the act, and possessing child pornography. He was fired immediately after his arrest. In December 2022, Jones was convicted on 24 counts of possessing pornography involving juveniles and 55 counts of sexual abuse of animals, receiving a 100-year prison sentence. In October 2024, he pleaded guilty to additional charges, including principal to first-degree rape, conspiracy to commit aggravated crime against nature, obstruction of justice, malfeasance in office, and pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13.
