    In 2018, Sheriff Anderson recommended the termination of Sergeant Deeren for alleged dishonesty and insubordination related to a 2007 arrest that Deeren had not disclosed. However, the County’s Personnel and Bargaining Committee rejected Anderson’s recommendation, finding no just cause for termination and ordered Deeren’s reinstatement. Anderson’s actions in this matter have been subject to legal scrutiny.
