Sheriff Mikesell has been accused of using his official position to advance his private security business, iXero. Allegations include directing office employees to perform work for his private company and utilizing county resources for personal gain. Additionally, former Commander Greg Couch filed a lawsuit against Mikesell, alleging constructive discharge and retaliation after raising concerns about the sheriff’s office operations. The lawsuit, filed in April 2022, is ongoing as of March 2025.
