Terry filed a Civil Rights Complaint alleging assault. The case was settled in 2015, with Terry receiving $34,000 from San Juan County. Krebs maintained his innocence, stating the allegations were ‘frivolous and ridiculous.’ The settlement was advised by the county’s risk pool claims manager to avoid the uncertainties and costs of a trial.
