Former Officer Shiron Nicole Varner was indicted in 2022 alongside Rodney Etienne for the 2018 shooting of unarmed man Devin Nolley. Varner allegedly shot Nolley without justification while he was running away after a car chase, leading to his paralysis. Charges included violation of oath, reckless conduct, aggravated assault, and aggravated battery.
