Officer Stacy Luck participated in the March 2006 arrest attempt of Jason Anderson at the Homer airport. Along with other officers, Luck fired shots into Anderson’s vehicle, which contained his two young children. The gunfire led to the severe injury of Anderson’s 2-year-old son, J.A. The officers’ actions were scrutinized for recklessly endangering the children, resulting in a $3.5 million settlement awarded to the victims.
