In November 2021, Officer Stephen Swart, along with two other correctional officers, was involved in an incident where they held down an inmate and shaved off part of his eyebrow. This act led to charges of second-degree unlawful imprisonment and second-degree harassment. Swart was placed on administrative leave pending further investigation and legal proceedings.
