On December 18, 2021, Officer Steve Noss attended a retirement party at Stonebridge Restaurant while on duty. He stayed at the event for around 45 minutes, within his assigned patrol area. This conduct was considered a dereliction of duty. The Police Department issued a written reprimand to Noss, which was accepted by the Board of Police Commissioners.
