Deputy Steven Kline reported witnessing Sheriff Cameron Noel allegedly assaulting a suspect in May 2014. In March 2015, Kline pleaded guilty to a class B misdemeanor count of wrongful appropriation for pawning ammunition belonging to the sheriff’s office. He was sentenced to a year of probation, 20 hours of community service, and fined $533. Kline’s certification was revoked by the Utah Peace Officer Standards and Training Council (POST).
