Officer Suna Shaw was named in a July 2020 federal lawsuit filed by Mumina Ali, alleging involvement in an incident at Maine Medical Center in 2014. Ali claimed that Shaw became frustrated during a language barrier issue and instructed Officer Druan to remove Ali from the hospital, leading to an alleged illegal arrest and use of excessive force. The lawsuit was dismissed with prejudice in December 2020, with no settlement reported.
