In May 2020, Officer Tammy Conley was named in a wrongful death lawsuit concerning the death of inmate Justin Ciccone. The lawsuit alleges that Conley, along with other staff members, participated in using excessive force by striking and tasing Ciccone, and continued to apply pressure on his neck and back after he was subdued and handcuffed, leading to his death.
