In April 2019, Officer Pollock was involved in a shooting incident where he fired his weapon three times at a vehicle during a traffic stop initiated by a Hamden officer. The incident resulted in serious injuries to an unarmed woman, Stephanie Washington. An internal review led to a 30-day suspension without pay and reassignment to administrative duties for Officer Pollock. No criminal charges were filed against him.
