On August 2024, off-duty corrections officer Timothy J. Feldman, 22, attempted to enter The Sound Bar in Saratoga Springs while carrying a semiautomatic pistol without serial numbers, commonly referred to as a ‘ghost gun.’ He did not possess a New York State pistol permit and had two 15-round magazines. Feldman identified himself as a corrections officer during the incident. Following his arrest and arraignment on a second-degree criminal possession of a weapon charge, a felony, he was fired from his position at the Schoharie County Sheriff’s Office.
