In June 2018, Officer Boisvert was involved in the arrest of Michael Ruda, who alleged excessive force during a traffic stop. Ruda suffered multiple injuries, including lacerations, bruises, a fractured elbow, and a black eye. The city settled the lawsuit for $225,000 in October 2020.
