In May 2023, Officer Tyler Pool handcuffed Faith Shields-Dixon, a witness to a domestic dispute, without sufficient cause. Shields-Dixon, who was cooperating and posed no safety risk, sustained bruised wrists and a damaged watch. Chief David Zibolski determined that Pool violated department policy by failing to exercise proper judgment and discretion. As a result, Pool received an oral reprimand, additional training, and a policy review.
