    In October 2023, Officer Tyler Thomas Daniels, 26, allegedly assaulted a 65-year-old handcuffed detainee at the Clearfield County Jail. He was subsequently arrested and is awaiting trial for the assault. Additionally, Daniels is named in a civil lawsuit accusing him of allowing fentanyl to be smuggled into the jail, leading to the July 2023 death of detainee Kaitlyn Evans, 31.
