Fairfax County Police Officer Tyler Timberlake repeatedly tased an unarmed Black man during a June 2020 incident that was recorded on body camera. He was criminally charged with assault and battery but was acquitted at trial in 2022; the victim sued for civil rights violations and Fairfax County settled the case out of court.
