In March 2021, an officer conducted a felony traffic stop on 19-year-old Noah West for driving without headlights. The officer drew a gun on West, who complied with commands to kneel and put his hands on his head. West’s family filed a lawsuit alleging negligence, civil assault, false arrest, and violation of constitutional rights. The lawsuit is pending.
