In March 2021, a correction officer was accused of grabbing a female co-worker and pulling her into a room while attempting to unbuckle his pants. The female officer fought him off and escaped. The county’s Department of Personnel found that at least three male correction officers violated sexual harassment policies. Two were suspended for 30 days with pay, and a third resigned without further discipline.
