In June 2020, an on-duty Enid police officer was involved in a domestic disturbance with his wife at a park. Witnesses reported seeing the officer grab his wife by the arm, pin her against a car, and yell profanities, causing a scene that drew the attention of children at a nearby baseball practice. The officer was placed on administrative duty, and a criminal investigation for domestic battery and disturbing the peace was initiated, with the case sent to the District Attorney’s Office.
