A 26-year-old officer was dismissed in July 2019 after lying in court about a defendant providing a false name during a traffic stop, leading to an additional criminal charge against the defendant. The State Law Enforcement Training Council permanently banned her from law enforcement in November 2019. She had previously faced scrutiny for allowing a handcuffed suspect to escape from her unlocked cruiser.
