A group of 12 Columbus police officers filed a federal lawsuit alleging that Commander Melissa McFadden engaged in discriminatory practices, including advising a Black sergeant he would have ‘official’ and ‘unofficial’ evaluations because he was Black, and admonishing Black officers in interracial marriages.
