In November 2023, Madison Police Department officers responded to a head-on collision involving Athens Police Officer Isaiah Hatchett, who was suspected of driving under the influence. Despite indications of intoxication, including an open container in his vehicle and inconclusive field sobriety test results, Hatchett was allowed to leave the scene without a breath test. Why This Matters

By organizing this data, we can potentially demonstrate when officers were previously aware of laws they later claim ignorance of, challenging qualified immunity defenses and promoting accountability.
