On February 6, 2023, Deputy William Jason Thomas was arrested following a domestic dispute at his residence. The victim reported that Thomas, appearing intoxicated, became naked and placed her in a ‘leg lock,’ increasing pressure despite her pleas to stop. He was charged with second-degree assault on a family or household member and was terminated from his position the following day.
