    In 2023, former Supervisor William Stansberry Jr. was convicted of civil rights violations for failing to intervene while Deputy Jeremy Mooney used excessive force against a restrained suspect. Stansberry pleaded guilty to one count of deprivation of civil rights under color of law, which carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.
