    In 2015, Officer William Ward was involved in a domestic incident where he was charged with brandishing a weapon and domestic battery. He entered a provisional no contest plea to the domestic battery charge, leading to administrative leave and eventual termination from the Wheeling Police Department. His law enforcement certification was revoked due to the incident.
