George Forbush – Sparks Police Department

In 2020, Officer Forbush posted over 700 contentious comments on his private social media account, including threats towards Black Lives Matter activists and others. The city suspended him for four days, leading Forbush to file a lawsuit in 2021 alleging violation of his First Amendment rights. In 2024, the city agreed to a $525,000 settlement with Forbush.
