In March 2019, Gregg A. Johnson, a Computer Forensic Analyst for Homeland Security Investigations in Tucson, was found guilty of three counts of submitting false statements to a government agency. Beginning in October 2015, Johnson falsely claimed to have a Master of Arts in Theology and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology on his federal employment applications. These positions required a Top Secret Security clearance. Johnson faced a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $250,000 fine. Sentencing was set for May 20, 2019.
