Isaac Jerome Jackson – Bamberg County Sheriff’s Office

On March 15, 2019, Officer Jackson allegedly used excessive force against inmate Tieresias Ephram, a mentally ill individual arrested for shoplifting. Jackson reportedly threw the handcuffed and restrained Ephram headfirst into a window and cell door, causing a head injury that required emergency medical care. Jackson was charged with misconduct in office, and a lawsuit was filed against Bamberg County alleging gross negligence and civil assault.
