Jaime Garcia – Hammond Police Department

Former Officer Jaime Garcia faced multiple allegations of sexual misconduct. In 2016, he was accused of slapping fellow Officer Denise Szany on the buttocks, resulting in a five-day suspension. In 2019, two female students alleged sexual misconduct during ride-alongs with Garcia. He resigned in April 2019 amid these investigations. A federal court allowed one of the women to sue Garcia for sexual harassment during a 2016 ride-along.
