Jamie Marsicano – Atlanta Police Department

In March 2023, during protests against the ‘Cop City’ training center, Jamie Marsicano was arrested near a music festival and charged with domestic terrorism and later with violating Georgia’s RICO Act. Marsicano’s attorneys allege the arrest was part of a broader crackdown on the movement and that authorities have illegally targeted critics of the training center, infringing on their First Amendment and civil rights. A federal lawsuit was filed on behalf of Marsicano against various law enforcement officials and the city of Atlanta.

Why This Matters

By organizing this data, we can potentially demonstrate when officers were previously aware of laws they later claim ignorance of, challenging qualified immunity defenses and promoting accountability.
