Jason Reeves – Chilton County Sheriff’s Department

On June 17, 2015, Deputy Jason Reeves was involved in the fatal shooting of Wendy Chappell Price during a traffic stop in Clanton, Alabama. Price was pursued by law enforcement after failing to stop at an officer’s order. During the encounter, officers fired their weapons at Price a total of 17 times, striking her four times, resulting in her death at the scene. A lawsuit was filed alleging excessive force and constitutional violations. The court documents discuss the incident and the legal proceedings that followed.
