Jeffrey Pupilli – Terre Haute Police Department

On June 1, 2023, Officer Jeffrey Pupilli, a 9-year member of the Terre Haute Police Department, reported to work around 3 p.m. as a uniformed patrolman while under the influence of alcohol. His breath-alcohol content reached as high as 0.60%, significantly above the legal limit of 0.08%. GPS tracking indicated his squad car reached speeds of 93 mph near Indiana 63 and Pennington Road as he drove to work. Pupilli was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and endangering a person. He submitted a letter of resignation on June 21, 2023, which was effective immediately.
