Jeffrey Stiegler – Bradford Police Department

Former Police Chief Jeffrey Stiegler was named in a 2020 lawsuit alleging failure to investigate complaints and collusion to obstruct justice. Plaintiff James Hart claimed that Stiegler refused to investigate allegations of perjury against the Bradford public works department and coordinated with a Department of Justice official to prevent Hart’s complaints from being investigated. The Vermont Supreme Court affirmed the dismissal of these claims in 2022.
