Jeffrey Vaughn – Omaha Police Department

In June 2020, Officer Jeffrey Vaughn conducted a traffic stop on MeShelle Settles, a Black woman, for following another car too closely. During the stop, Vaughn drew his gun and held Settles’ son at gunpoint for several minutes. Settles filed a complaint alleging racial bias, which was dismissed by the department. However, the city settled her lawsuit for $42,500.
