Jesse Barcelona – Baton Rouge Police Department

Sergeant Jesse Barcelona participated in the September 2020 incident involving the strip search and assault of a suspect in a precinct bathroom. After the incident, Barcelona and other officers conspired to dispose of body camera footage to conceal the excessive use of force. He was charged with malfeasance in office and obstruction of justice. Barcelona surrendered to authorities on September 28, 2023, and was subsequently released.
