Jesus Arevalo – Las Vegas Police Department

In 2011, Officer Jesus Arevalo shot and killed an unarmed man who was suffering from mental health issues. The man was determined to be incompetent. Arevalo was subsequently fired from his position. This incident underscored the importance of proper training in handling individuals with mental health conditions.
