Jonathan Swanson – East Valley DUI Task Force

Former Mesa Police Officer Jonathan Swanson was involved in a DUI incident in April 2021. After crashing his car, he returned home and continued drinking. When officers arrived, he displayed signs of alcohol consumption and was arrested for DUI with a blood alcohol content more than double the legal limit. He resigned in May 2021, and the department fired him days later. The Arizona Peace Officer Standards and Training Board initiated proceedings against his certification in February 2025.
