Officer Joseph Abasciano was fired in March 2023 after attending a rally for former President Donald Trump on January 6, 2021, prior to the Capitol insurrection. He was found to have violated a policy requiring officers to conduct their private affairs in a manner that does not reflect unfavorably on the department.
