Joseph Stevenson – Philadelphia Police Department

Sergeant Joseph Stevenson was fired in January 2020 after being accused of strangling his wife in December 2019. He pleaded no contest to two counts of disorderly conduct, with felony and misdemeanor charges withdrawn. An arbitrator later ordered his reinstatement, citing insufficient evidence for termination. In April 2024, Stevenson sued the city for nearly $100,000 in unpaid overtime for the period he was off the force.
