Joshua Fernandes – New Bedford Police Department

Former Sergeant and police union treasurer Joshua Fernandes pleaded guilty in 2022 to embezzling nearly $48,000 from the union’s treasury. He used the funds for personal expenses, including concert tickets and a trip to Florida. Fernandes was sentenced to three months in prison and ordered to pay restitution to the New Bedford Police Union.
