Josue Garriga – Jacksonville Police Department

In 2024, Detective Josue Garriga was sentenced to nearly 25 years in federal prison for sexually exploiting a 17-year-old girl. While serving in the gang unit, Garriga met the teenager at church, used his department-issued phone to communicate with her, and engaged in illegal sexual activities. Additionally, Garriga was involved in a 2023 excessive force lawsuit concerning the beating of Le’Keian Woods.
