Kathy Belcastro-Gonzalez – Omaha Police Department

Former Captain Kathy Belcastro-Gonzalez filed a federal lawsuit in 2019 alleging she was passed over for promotion in retaliation for filing a gender discrimination complaint. In 2022, a jury awarded her nearly $1 million. She filed another lawsuit in 2025, alleging further retaliation, including her termination in May 2022 for sending official records to her personal computer.
