Kelvin Battle – Lineville Police Department

On December 7, 2020, Officer Kelvin Battle was involved in an incident where he allegedly engaged in bribery, official corruption, discourtesy, false statements, and misconduct. A public complaint detailed that Officer Battle followed a citizen after they finished refueling at a gas station near the Lineville Police Department. He then conducted a traffic stop and issued a citation for following too closely, despite dashcam evidence suggesting there were at least two car lengths between the vehicles. The complaint also noted that Officer Battle had previously pleaded guilty to theft of government property, raising concerns about his integrity. The traffic violation was controversially listed as a criminal misdemeanor, and the court reportedly refused to consider exculpatory evidence presented by the defendant. The incident occurred at 40 2nd Avenue North, Lineville, AL. ([giglio-bradylist.com](https://giglio-bradylist.com/public-complaint-no-1707035825-2088297038?utm_source=openai))
